Actually there’s little to be said about the plot. While fighting, Hakuoro has another flashback. It is revealed that though Hakuoro and Mikoto had a child, but they are soon captured by the security forces of the lab. Hakuoro faces a evil scientist, who exclaims that Hakuoro’s mask will be the key to humans living on the surface again. He also reveals that Mikoto has been killed for analysis. In his anger, Hakuoro gives the eternal lives that the scientist desire by turning them all into red blobs.

However, Hakuoro recognises the anger in him, and screams to be killed if that’s the only way to be stopped. Mutsumi hears, and tries to seal him, but is only partially successful, and also ends up with the Good and Evil forms.

Back to the fight, Hakuoro ends it by fusing with Dii, and slicing Dii’s head off. After which, Hakuoro asks for Urutorii to seal him. Mutsumi arrives and says she’ll help, if that’s her father’s wish, and releases Kamyuu.

Even as he is sealed, Hakuoro bides farewell to everybody. When it comes to Eruruu’s turn, she exclaims that she loves him not because of the contract at all. Running forward, she hugs him and gives him a kiss. They will meet soon again.

Thoughts

I thought plot wise, the ending was a little disappointing. But the presentation of the last episode simply blew me away.

The final scene between eruruu and hakuoro, coupled with the music was just simply so emotional. Maybe the show ain’t so harem after all.

Even the epilogue was quite a nice wrap up to everybody. Although Yuzuha’s death was quite a surprise. In a sense, why show it. No idea what purpose Yuzuha plays in the show.

Did Hakuoro return? I guess the series purposely left it open ended, but I believe that it hinted strongly that it did. Doesn’t quite make sense if he didn’t.

I always thought that Eruruu was mikoto. WRONG! But it seems that eruruu possesed Mikoto’s spirit though.

Nice series over all, although it wasn’t anything outstanding. Some may like the science fiction twist, some may not. I felt that the beginning of the series was too much like a game, rather than an anime, but it did improve quite well midway through. At times, the suspense was pretty good too, thus you were inclined to keep watching. All in all, I had a fairly pleasant ride through the whole series.

Worth watching if you’re tired of all those shoujo shows. haha.

I vote aruruu to be my favorite character. I thought she gave a very good balance to the show at the critical moments. Who is to forget the way she reached out to kamyu too.

Watching Oboro spar, Hakuoro warns him against complacency. But in the end, Hakuoro tells Oboro to take lead and guide when he is gone. Kamyuu has gone back to being a toddler in mind to protect against the pain. Meanwhile, we’re shown scenes of everybody else, the peace before the storm.

At night, Aruruu arrives to tell Hakuoro that she is following along with Hakuoro, knowing that he won’t be back. Eruruu also arrives and says the same thing. Setting off, they are blocked by the rest of the harem. So it’s a one big family journey again.

Reaching Onkamiya, Urutorii opens a blocked door with a chant, and Mutsumi appears with red blobs to that attack them. Blobs being blobs, do not die when sliced, as the harem discovers. Mutsumi goes away down the corridor that was just opened, and only Hakuoro, Eruruu and Aruruu follow.

At the deadend, Hakuoro gets a flashback again. In the science lab again, Iceman is talking to the hologram, who says that they are going to freeze him again. However, the hologram says he’ll let him escape, as well as mikoto who is very fond of him now. Iceman makes his escape together with mikoto, and many other test subjects.

Even as Hakuoro remembers everything, the deadend is opeened by an ornament on Eruruu’s hair.

Inside, they meet mutsumi, who starts firing globs at Hakuoro. Even as she prepares a finishing blog, Aruruu steps into the field of fire, imploring Kamyuu to come back with them. It works, and mutsumi weakens and falls, but Dii arrives.

Dii talks on about who they are, and describes Hakuoro’s training methods leading people to their deaths, just as he was manipulating people. Dii says that they were not supposed to meet until the time for sleep, but he has lost all his chess pieces, including his final pawn, as such, Hakuoro is free to reign until the time to sleep comes.

But hakuoro steps forward, thanking Eruruu for all she has done and freeing her from her contract. Transforming into beast form, both Dii and Hakuoro break out of the building into the sky for a final battle.

Thoughts

Let’s see I can follow what has been revealed. Somewhere in the future, a beast was discovered in the snow, and dug up. Hakuoro is shot by fellow scientist in front of it, but gets his live back in exchange for the Witsaurenemitea residing in him.

Experiments are conducted, and new species are created to live above ground, something men can no longer do.

There are two super beings, Hakuoro and Dii, who basically compete is see who will rule as Witsaurenemitea.

What I don’t get…. what’s this sleeping thing. And how does Mutsumi come into the picture.

Anyway, we’re reaching the conclusion!

With Urutorii’s declaration, everybody are now enemies with the Kunnekamun. Somehow, there are ways to defeat the Avu Kamuu now, though heavy casualties are suffered.

When Hakuoro’s army are crossing a bridge, they encounter an army of undead. Though the army is easily defeated by hakuoro’s harem, Hakuoro is suddenly teleported to the palace by Dii, and he is accompanied by Genjimaru and Eruruu.

Kamyuu is there, who spouts her nonsense about why it was necessary for her to wage war on everybody. Getting into her Avu Kamuu, she attacks hakuoro, but is easily defeated as well. She cannot bring herself to kill hakuoro in the end, and ends up surrendering as well.

Dii arrives, together with Hauenkua and Hien. Hakuoro’s harem arrives as well. Even as Hakuoro’s powers start to manifest, Urutorii assures him that it’s alright, that she’ll teleport everyone away, so he can use his powers. Of course, Hauenkua and Hien are swiftly defeated.

All this while, there have been hints in conversation between Genjimaru and Dii about a contract between them.

Even as Dii’s pawns are defeated, Kamyuu appears from behind a pillar. Dii calls out to Mutsumi, and Kamyuu transforms into Mutsumi. Mutsumi apparently has no problems fighting with Hakuoro’s monster form.

Even as the two are fighting, Dii asks Genjimaru about his contract again, saying that if he breaks it, he’ll be condemned with the greatest sin. Genjimaru rebutts by saying that even at the making of the contract, he has already been filled with sin. Describing the times where Genjimaru worked for Dii as the greatest, Genjimaru attacks Dii, but is quickly blown away. Kuuya is totally horrified, even as the only parts left of Genjimaru is his eyepatch and some blood.

In the end, Dii talked about Genjimaru’s death saving Kyuuya’s life. Dii leaves together with Mutsumi, with Mutsumi asking why Hakuoro didn’t choose her, and can only say goodbye to her “other-father”.

Thoughts

Oh? I didn’t expect Dii and Hakuoro to be the same, but opposites, which they seem to be. And I do wonder what role Kamyuu plays, as the one in the middle. Calling them father?

And what role will Eruruu play? For it seems her contract is similar to that of Genjimaru’s with Dii.

Hauenkua wakes up from a nightmare of the previous battle, and can only end up crawling to Dii for help.

News of the defeat reaches Kuuya. Genjimaru advises that they stop their attacks, but Kuuya feels that “this battle cannot be given up on”. After the court meeting, Genjimaru follows and confronts Dii. Just as Genjimaru starts to try to get information from him by force, Dii’s speed and remarks causes him to realise who he is. Genjimaru is left being surprised that Dii “woke up” so soon.

Aruruu is being her playful self while eruruu does the laundry. This causes eruru to remember the promise that she gave to Hakuoro’s beast form. Hugging Aruruu, she can only say how she has given up everything all just for her.

Later during another meeting, Hakuoro’s mind wanders off, where he faces off his beast form, until the rest call him back.

Back in his private room, Eruruu is taking care of him. Hakuoro tries to enquire about what happened that day, but Eruruu walks off without letting him complete his questions. Hakuoro tries to call out to her, but starts getting dizzy.

Suddenly, hakuoro finds himself in a lab. He sees a girl who looks like eruruu, but she simply walks past him. Instead, she goes over to wake up a guy lying down, who looks like hakuoro, and is wearing a mask just like his. A hologram of a scientist named Mizushima appears, and the guy talks to him. Mizushima refers to him as Iceman, but it seems like he can’t remember a thing from previously. Mizushima also adresses the girl as 3510, an artificial being. Though Mizushima can’t give her a name, he tells the guy to do so. The guy ends up giving the girl the name Mikoto. Surprisingly, Mikoto then addresses the guy as Hakuoro, but suddenly, Hakuoro (the uh. one from present times) is woken up by eruruu.

Genjimaru and Sakuya are seen fleeing from a pair of Avu Kamuu. In the forest, Genjimary asks Sakuya to find a place to hide, while he comes out to confront the two Avu Kamuu. He successfully defeats them, but attacking parts that are unarmored, as well as successfully blocking the attacks of the Avu Kamuu. All this is witnessed by Kurou.

Kurou brings the two back, to meet hakuoro. Genjimaru asks Hakuoro to stop the Kunnekamun, as he believes that what they are doing will only lead to destruction. However, Hakuoro reminds him that considering what he’s doing, he is a traitor, even though he is doing it out of loyalty. But Genjimaru still believes that this is the right thing to do. Hakuoro decides to trust Genjimaru in the end.

Back in private, Eruruu is bandaging Hakuoro, just as she was doing the first time they met, as hakuoro reminds her. But this reminds her of the earthquake, and the time she first met the beast also. Hakuoro asks if eruruu will stay by his side forever, to which eruruu forcibly says yes.

However, before attacking Kunnekamun, they need to gather the strength of all the scattered tribes. It seems impossible. But Lord Ouren can do it, and Genjimaru reveals that he is still alive. Hence Hakuoro sends out a party to rescue him.

Later, as eruruu puts Yuzuha to bed, Yuzuha comments that eruruu looks like she’s lacking energy. In fact, her hands felt very cold. Yuzuha further adds that she can get the warmth back through the body of Hakuoro, especially since you can get warmth from the one you love.

Later, while eruruu is brushing her hair, and tearing at the same time, Urutorii comes and ask if they could chat. Urutorii hints that she knows about Hakuoro. She adds that Witsuarunemitea is their faith, and looking after it has been their duty. Urutorii apologises as she could not talk about it eariler. Ututorii adds that she wants to tell eruruu that the heart cannot be given to anyone, only by herself. It cannot be taken forcibly by contract to a God, and it’s better for her to live as her heart chooses.
That night, eruruu agrees to follow Hakuoro, this time her heart is behind it too.

Everybody returns from rescuing Urutorii’s father, who passes the title of Oruyankuru to Urutorii.

Hakuoro is a God!

Seems like all these while, eruruu never realised who hakuoro truely was. When he ask her to stay with him, must be truly ironic, considering tthe things his beast form asked for from eruruu

Concluding episode coming soon, and we shall get to see why eruruu is the main character, even though she’s has been mostly useless as part of the harem.

I think the most interesting part would be to see what role the scientist plot plays with everything. That’s the part I want to know most.

It would be quite funny is Dii ends up being the scientist Mizushima.

and I must say that aruruu is one of the most innocent characters around.

The Avu Kammu approaches and Hauenkua taunts. Unable to take it, Oborro charges at him, only to find that not only does he deal no damage, but his blade breaks as well. Retreating into the fortress, they employ ballistaes instead, as Hakuoro’s idea. While knocking Hauenkua backwards, it still does not damage, and in the end, everything is destroyed, and kurou gets heavily injured. Hakuoro arrives, asking everyone to retreat, insisting that he has a plan and will act as a diversion.

Actually, he has none, and is soon cornered by Hauenkua. Just as Hauenkua is about to break hakuoro, Mukuru arrives with aruruu, and succeeds to knock Hauenkua backwards too. In fact, Mukuru seems like a match for him, with its agility. But suddenly, Hauenkua strikes at it, dealing a death blow to aruruu in the process.

Hakuoro screams in anguish, and rushes to carry arurru. eruruu arrives at this point just to see Hauenkua step on both of them. But suddenly, a black fog encasts Hauenkua’s Avu Kammu’s leg, dissolving the armor. Soon, a beast appears, which easily defeats two of the accompanying Avu Kammu.

Rushing to Arurru, Eruruu realises that she’s dead.

A flashback, (okie. i’m not so sure if it’s a flashback) shows a scene in a lab. A scientist (with hakuoro’s voice), is questioning another on the species on display. The 2nd scientist claims that it’s the missing link in evolution, but proceeds to shoot the first one, splattering the fossil with blood, seemingly awakening it.

Back to the present, the beast easily destroys Hauenkua’s Avu Kammu which ends up ejecting Hauenkua. A final killing blow splatters blood all over Hauenkua before he runs away.

Eruruu gets a flashed back to long ago, where aruruu had gone missing. When eruruu finds her, she’s bleeding non-stop. Just as eruruu screams about giving all to get aruruu back, the beast appears. In exchange for eruruu’s everything, he’ll resurrect aruruu.

Back to the present, aruruu suddenly heals, and waking up, she looks at the beast and calls him “daddy”. (hakuoro)

Next day, Hakuoro wakes up, but finds the beast hands on himself, instead of his own hands. But it seems to be a nightmare, as he wakes up again, but with his normal hands. Eruruu brings him tea, explaining that Kunnekamun has retreated, everybody is back and aruruu is playing outside. Without saying or explaining anything more, eruruu asks Hakuoro to rest, and leaves him alone.

Thought

Wow.

Fast paced. I like.

Anyway, I really want to find out whether those scientists are part of the present, or part of the past. And well, I want the answer to the question I posted at the start too. Really exciting stuff.

The war-mongers rumble on… It just reminds me of a certain country. Hmm…. Nothing impressive, other than the sinister things that seem to be going on in the background.

The Erumui leader is begging for mercy, as the Kunnekamun mechas (Avu Kammu) destroy the surrounding village. Of course he gets none, and benaui soon brings word of Erumui being wiped out.

Back at Kunnekamun, Hauenkua is explaining himself as to why he wiped out the Erumui when they obviously could not fight anymore. He quotes Kuuya, “Needless mercy only results in more conflicts”. While Hauenkua was obviously disrespectful, Kuuya has no choice but to declare the matter closed, and Hauenkua faultless. Hein then steps forward proposing that the time is ripe for the Kunnekamun to unite everybody. Hauenkua likens it to conquering everybody, but Hein insist that Unite and Conquere are very different.

The disagreement goes on, until Genjimaru arrives, asking them to stop, being in the presence of the emperor. Genjimaru argues that it’s time to fortify their borders, rather than to continue any wars, to which Kuuya readily agrees.

Back in Tusukuru, Hakuoro walks around visiting all his harem. When Eruru comes up to him, he declares himself a happy man. Just then, Benaui interrupts with the message that the remaining two large countries have invade Kunnekamun. Hakuoro is baffled, as everybody now knows of Kuunekamun’s secret power. But Benaui explains that they think invading at the same time, they’ll have a higher chance of winning.

We see many Avu Kammu having defeated yet another army. Kuuya seems sickened by the devestation. But a group of villagers come up to her to beg her to invade other countries, so that they themselves will not be subjected to invasion all the time. While Genjimaru tries to explain to them the reasoning for not going to war, the villagers continue to cry for those who have died that day.

Hakuoro is having yet a meeting, and everybody is wondering if another war is coming. But eruru interrupts the proceedings, and Hakuoro ends the meeting. Sakuya once again brings Hakuoro to Kuuya. Kuuya starts to reflect on the beauty of the moon, and how it does not force it’s strength through, unlike the sun. Hakuoro mentions that he will not ask if Kuuya does not talk about it. But he thinks Kuuya should not try to do everything on her own. In fact, there are people she should depend on, like Genjimaru and Sakuya. Kuuya reflects on how she has almost forgotten that she’s not alone.

In yet another court session, Hauenkua and Hein are pushing for war, as yet news of more villages being razed are recieved. With Genjimaru visiting the villages to review the devestation, Kuuya comes to the decision (she insists that she’s not influenced by anybody) that they will unite all people.In Tusukuru, message of war is recieved, and Hakuoro tells Touka to fortify the eastern country side, with koura following.

The Kunnekamun go on a rampage, and nobody is able to stop them. In a war meeting in a tent, it is suggested that Onkami be the next targeted. Genjimaru objects as the Onkami represent everybody, as well as everybody’s God. If they target the Onkami, they will be ostracised by everyone. Kuuya replies that they are already so, and asks Hauenkua and Hein to go prepare for war. After they leave, Genjimaru asks if Kuuya will just break friendship with Hakuoro like this, to which Kuuya can only reply that she’ll take it back by force. Meanwhile, news reaches the Tsukuru, and Urutorii and only comfort Kamyu that Onkami will be fine.

Initially, the Onkami seemingly are able to stop the Avu Kammu with a spell. However, Dii enters the chamber where the Onkami magicians ( i don’t know what to call them) are, and an explosion happens, breaking the spell. The leader of onkami recognises him, but does not believe that it’s him. Suddenly, a wave of surpise and recognition washes over him… *left in suspense*

Soon, Onkami is defeated, and Kuuya orders that Hakuoro be brought to her. News reaches Tsukuru, and kamyu can only collapse to Urutorii, but she promises that they’ll work together, when Urutorii says that their dad is most probably still alife.

Touka and Kurou have survived thus far, but are doing ZERO damage to the enemy. Hakuoro orders an evacuation of the capital, as that’s the only option left. While he originally wanted to stay behind to delay the enemy, Benaui objects as Hakuoro is the target of the enemy. Finally Hakuoro relents to leave, but asks the rest to promise not to die. Urutorii declares that as long as Hakuoro is still alive, they’ll be able to regroup again elswhere.

Thoughts

I decided to continue playing the game after watching episode, so I was expecting how things would turn out.

Kinda disappointed as to how weak Kuuya seems, I would have thought that she’d be stronger, but unfortunately, Genjimaru wasn’t around to support her.

Anyway, the next episode will be the exciting one.

I’m just wondering what the role of Dii is, he seems to be inciting wars, and creating undead. It’ll be interesting to see his motives, and whether he is related in anyway to kamyu.

At night, the guards catch sight of an intruder fumbling into the castle. Thought looking panicky and mostly flumbling around, she is capable enough and mostly eludes the pursuit of the guards. She ends up in Hakuoro’s room by accident without realising it, only to whine to Kuuya that she cannot do this anymore. Hearing Kuuya’s name, Hakuoro helps to divert the guards elsewhere.

The girl is Sakuya, and as expected, is sent by Kuuya to fetch Hakuoro. But while leaving, erruru catches sight of them and follows them.

Kuuya blames them for being late, but places the full blame on Hakuoro for being slow, rahther than on Kuuya. Kuuya asks Sakuya what happened to her waist long hair. Only then did Sakuya realise that during the pursuit in the castle, her hair got cut off by the guards, causing her to burst into tears.

Kuuya gets straight to the point. She wants to present a concubine to Hakuoro. Hearing this, Erruru gets so shocked that she falls where she’s hiding. After an introduction, Kuuya says that she actually wants to present Sakuya as a concubine. In fact, Kuuya claims that Sakuya is very skillful, causing much shock to eruru and sakuya. (she used a term which refers to being skilled IN bed, when she actually means she’s skilled in tasks) Anyway, Hakuoro points out that Kuuya will be short of a capable help is Sakuya leaves. Kuuya realises she never thought of that, and that she’ll rethinking through the whole idea, much to eruru’s and Sakuya’s relief.

Anyway, Kuuya mentions that she might not be able to see Hakuoro for quite a while, because her kingdom might be going to war soon. Kuuya thanks a worried Erruru for her feelings and vows to win. Back in his castle, Hakouro finds out from Benaui that the kingdom going to war against Kunnekamun is Erumui. While Erurmui is small, the bigger danger is its ally Noseshechica, one of the three large kingdoms. However, Benaui adds that Kunnekamun might not have that much to worry since they supposedly have a secret strength.

Suddenly, Oboro informs hakuoro that aruru has been bitten by kamyu, who is now missing. However, aruru is not angry at all, and wants to help search for kamyu. Oboro tells yuzuha to return to her room first. But she refuses to and chooses to stay until kamyu is found.

At nightfall, looking at the full moon, Hakuorro realises that kamyu might be at the lake she always goes to. And true enough, there she was. Seeing Hakuoro, she cries to him about her troubles. How she’s the only one with Black wings, supposedly because of her great ancestor. How she didn’t have any friends until she came to hakuoro’s kingdom. How she wished she was like her sister with white wings. How aruru must hate her now, aruru who is her first friend.

From behind, aruru is heard saying that she found kamyu. Aruru happily holds hands with kamyu to return home, causing kamyu to cry. And when they return to see yuzuha waiting, kamyu really cannot hold back the tears anymore.

Meanwhile, war has begun. the army of Noseshechica charges on. But suddenly, they come face to face with a few mecha suits. The army is swift deciminated. The leader of Noseshechica cannot believe it, and charges at the suit Kuuya is in, who immediately slashes him into half. Soon, word reaches hakuoro that the entire Noseshechica has been conquered and surrendered.

A somber Sakuya brings him to kuuya another night. Kuuya goes on about the joys of defeat Noseshechica. But Hakuoro tells her to stop. Kuuya finally admits that it was her first battle, and admits the pain and responsibility needed.

Days later, an Erumui guys approaches Hakuoro for diplomatic help. Urutorii promises to speak to the kingdom Kunnekamun. However, speaking to Hauenkua, she gets pretty much rejected. Hauenkua does not care about the false Gods that Urutorii talks about. Neither will Hauenkua allow Urutorri speak to Kuuya, since he was entrusted with matters of the war.

In another room, lies the body of the leader of Noseshechica. The winged man Dii who used to be at Niue’s side is there too. Hauenkua speaks to him about making the body move, even if the body doesn’t want to.

Back with hakuoro, eruru asks hakuoro to speak to kuuya to halt the war. But hakuoro explains that kuuya understands the situation very well. Just then, Benui reports that Kunnekamun has invaded Erumui.

Thoughts

Woo. What a cute Sakuya. haha. And not to forget that revealing shot of eruru.

Kamyu being a vampire was a surprise. We’ve always knew she was different. Just not sure how so. She’s still a mystery. Seeing that this story arc is being slowly revealed through the entire series, I’m guessin it’ll only be entirely revealed at the very end.

Yet another battle facing hakuoro. Guess only the might of his harem can stop those mecha suits. Battles would be nice. Touka and Karura have been missed.
