Thanks to work, the list of anime that I haven’t watched has just been piling up. I can’t wait for the weekend.

Anyway, I didn’t do a review of ep 5 because the site was down, but here’s a review of 6. Weirdly, ep 6 is a totally new storyline, and somehow inserted into the middle of ep 5 and 7, which are connected to one another. As it is, ep 6 was supposed to have happened before ep 5. Confusing enough? haha

In short:

This episode is about how a girl, Kimidori Emiri, arrives at the SOS club together with mikuru. She’s actually a customer who’s looking for the help of SOS club, after Kyon put up a poster advertising the SOS club. Her BF’s missing, and she needs help looking for the guy. And surprise surprise! It’s the computer club’s president.

Turns out that there’s abnormal space in the president’s room, and the group of them ends up meeting a cricket monster, who’s supposed to be an alien like yuki. This time, you can to watch a display of power from yuki and itsuki. But was this all simply a result of Haruhi’s will? Or was it all planned by yuki…

This episode jumps back to where ep 03 left off, and basically is quite a serious episode.

It provides the background story of who Yuki, Mikuru and Itsuki are. Basically, ones an alien, another a time traveler, and the last one an esper with esp powers. Basically they all gathered to investigate a phenomenon known as Haruhi, who seems to be something like that of a God. Er, how the stories all weave together is something for those interested in philosophy to think about.

Finally more background of the story is given. This ep is more of dialogue and background, but it still had its funny moments. Mikuru just looked so adorable in this episode, making you wondering how somebody can be like that. (then again.. if she can be a time traveller…) Watching Haruhi’s interaction with Kyon, while knowing that she most probably has an interest in him, also makes the plot interesting.

Next epsidoe would jump to yet another story again though. Looking forward to more laughs on a trip to the island.

I’ve got to say though. I’m totally addicted to the OP and ED. Makes you want to find a group of friends and perform the ED. haha

This epsiode mainly consisted of the SOS brigade playing baseball…

It was utterly hilarious though. I think one of the things that make this seires popular is because of haruhi. I think guys would simply be attracted to her and her character. The mix of characters just provide even more laughs.

There was one thing weird about this episode though. It seemed as though one episode in between 3 and 4 disappeared. Suddenly there’s an extra member. Suddenly magic is being cast. Suddenly haruhi seems to be interested in the guy. (it’s very obvious! but still hilarious)

When I watched ep 1, i was wondering what on earth I was watching. Did I somehow get hold of a super low quality version of the anime. Why did others praise this anime, neither did it seem to quite fit the sypnosis I read.

It’s basically an animation of a poor home production video. But even this was very hilarious. The most interesting ‘promo’ of an anime I’ve ever seen. I do hope future eps will be as funny.

Very lively and cute EP too.
