Surprisingly, Tohya and Saya had seperated. Somehow Saya ends up in a coma, and it’s up to Tanda to do something about it.
Chagum continues to surprise as a character, endearing himself to every viewer I believe. Balsa tries to give him some training to imbue some street smarts, but he shows just how he has every character suited for a king.
Shuga undergoes and recovers from depression. Determined to learn more about the drought sign, he meets Tanda, who enlightens him about how the drought is probably STILL coming.
This is one conversation intensive episode. Yet somehow while almost the entire episode sees the blacksmith basically trying to decide whether to make Balsa a new spear, it still doesn’t fail to awe with its setting and pacing.
Balsa and Chagum end up renting a watermill as a place to settle down in. In fact, I can totally see Balsa, Tanda and Chagum forming a very lovable family already. (as if that will ever happen)
Seirei no Moribito continues to astound. Both in the attention paid to the animation, as well as the amount of thought paid into the story. (admittedly this is an adaptation of a novel) This episode sees the manhunt get into the full swing of things, even as Balsa makes her escape attempt.
