There are just so many things that make this two episodes one of the best around. It’s a totally hilarious original parody of Battle Royale. With all the elements of a war show, romance, emotions, and definitly comedy.

You can read more about the introduction of the episode by wannabefansubs

Battle of Yagami High

Definitly worth watching even if you haven’t been catching the series. However, knowing the background of the characters just make the jokes even more hilarious

I think ep 02 is definitly funnier, but the action scenes in ep 03 are to die for.

One thing that caught my attention was the soundtrack. Very good choice of songs, from the OP and the EP, to the songs used during dramatic scenes. The songs included insert songs by Lia, the one who sang the OP and EP for AIR. The songs simply added really well to the mood.

The battle scenes were done in 16:9 aspect, which just added to the action film feel. The action scenes can definitly rival any action movies especially the final fight. They definitly enhanced the experience as compared to reading about it in the manga

Sub-plots that parodied emotional scenes include gunfights between couples, and different renegade terrorist groups. Many twist and turns will get your laugh really hard. Watch out for Eri-chan at the end of ep 02 Oh. And don’t skip the EP, there’s still more story after that.

Can’t say more without spoiling the show!

A definite must catch.
