An episode that all fanboys of kyoya has been waiting for + I suppoes you can say… it was about a date between Kyoya and haruhi. All in all, it was funnier than expected, I thought the expressions of Haruhi and Kyoya really added to it. (And haruhi was dressed beautifully) And renge’s appearance was hilarious.
There are people who say that the jokes are getting stale and boring etc.. but well.. I’m a sucker for romance comedies (school rumble anyone?), so in a sense, Ouran Host Club is actually becoming better to me. haha.
So Arai, who appeared at the end of ep 15, is indeed Haruhi’s middle school’s classmate. And as epected, he DID have a crush on haruhi, but felt rejected, when haruhi totally misunderstood what he was saying. (what do you expect) As such, the fact that he had a crush surprised everybody, haruhi included.
Hikaru started becoming very mean to Arai, especially in his remarks, until a point where Haruhi slapped him, and he went back to his room, sulking. Kaoru tried to get him to apologise, but he refused. Kaoru then tried to apologise pretending to be hikaru, but nothing escapes the eyes of Haruhi.
Oh man. Tons of jokes this time round. I think the series is always great when it focuses on haruhi.
This episode revolves around the plot of Haruhi having gone to work part time at a pensione during the summer vacation. Tamaki at first thought she was kidnapped, until kyoya clarifies. And of course, the entire host club ends up gathering at the pensione.
Um. This episode felt weird. Weird because while it was not very exciting or funny, it did have some very nice moments, and some utterly hilarious expressions.
The newspaper club managed to sell only 2 copies of its newspaper. To it’s 2 club members. As such, they decided to hitch onto the Host Club’s popularity to try and revive the newspaper for its final print, before the club dissolves. What they want to do is to have an interview with the host club. But in actual fact, he just wants to cause trouble for Tamaki, someone that he sees as a very shrewd person.
This forms the platform for us as the audience, to see the kind of simple person tamaki is. And to see the love that the rest of the host club has for him deep down. As such, they would do all in their power to protect him from people like the newspaper club, even if Tamaki is too slow to realise what’s going on.
Two parts to this episide. One involving spilled tea on honey’s rabbit. And a legend of how he wiped out two platoons of US special forces the last time he was interrupted and woken up from his sleep.
The second part of the episode involved honey having a toothache. and being banned from sweets.
Many cute facial expressions this time round. And if you’ve wanted to see more of honey, you’ve got it all in this episode. Morita x Honey gave me the creeps though. Since they emphasied on it in this episode. haha.
The anime is indeed improving with each episode.

A little girl (kimiri) appears from no where, and on entering the music room where the ouran host club is, is greeted by the hosts, all in police uniform cosplay. And surprisingly, she uses a bunch of very ‘adult’ vocabulary to describe the sight that greets her. Somehow… her description is scarily accurate. She mistakes as her brother, because he has blonde hair too.
A blond then arrives at the door. You’ll assume this to be the girl’s brother. Out of nowhere, his servants come to give him the cloak he forgotten. H’es the Black Magic Club President! Nekozawa Umehito!
