Whoa, an episode taking full advantage of Hirano’s voice talent. The episode starts off with a killer parody of Konata falling in love with Marimite and behaving like one, including the ultimate yuri scene of adjusting Tsukasa’s ribbon.

It’s summer time! Of course that would include a car trip and a visit to the beach! This episode definitely improved in terms of pacing. The adaptation goes really well this time, choosing the right scenes to extend into an anime format.

Not sure if it’s just me, but with the new director, the jokes are more well paced, definitely funnier as well. No more of flipping the next scene before you even comprehend the joke. The characters didn’t seem as cute anymore though. (not crucial)

I conclude that by the first joke, you’ll know if you’ll enjoy the show. Last episode Tsukasa made me die laughing, setting the tone for the whole episode. This episode started off with a sleepy Konata, which was just so not funny. In fact, I found the entire episode totally draggy. I wonder if the fact that I had an exam paper in the afternoon had anything to do with it.

Man, I laughed right through the whole episode. This was definitely a marked improvement over the last two episode, and should be what Lucky Star is all about. The cultural references remain extremely heavy though, it won’t be easy understanding all the jokes.

-Time to change to the summer uniform! Kagami: Bet there are some idiots like Konata who end up still wearing the winter uniform. Cue for Tsukasa to make an appearance in the winter uniform.
