The devilish woman in red makes her appearance again to start off the episode.

Samatarou is feeling down, and his family tries to cheer him up with a cheer routine. (while I found the whole routine very predictable, the mom’s routine still got me laughing, and I DID look forward to meme’s routine. haha) On the way to school,  Samatarou thinks about the Lulu he’ll never get to meet again, as well as the kiss with Tenko that she has forgotten about. *curses to papa-san*

At the school gate, they find sinichi and the real Ai holding hands, they’re a pair now. Tenko and Samatarou are not too happy about it, but sinichi points out that Samatarou and Tenko are holding hands too! This leads to fierce denials from both parties.

Later, Tenko finds a love letter in her shoebox. While jealous, Samatarou denies his own feelings, leading Tenko to be uncertain about things. She doesn’t open the letter, and decides that as long as Samatarou needs her, she’ll be by her side.

But that night, Tenko hears a voice telling her she’s not needed, and that she should return back to heaven. (it’s the devilish woman in red I tell ya) The next morning, Tenko is feeling down because of the night before, and both Meme and the older sis urges Samatarou to grab hold of Tenko. (Meme was so cute!)

On the way to school, a boy Nakamura Takashi is waiting for Tenko. Samatarou watches them from the classroom. When Tenko comes back to her seat, Samatarou nonchalently asks her how things went. But Tenko reveals that she rejected him. (of course Samatarou is really happy about it)

At this point, Kumiko makes a reappearance.

Asking Samatarou to the rooftop, Kumiko requests that Samatarou go out with her, saying that she has missed him. Meanwhile, Misa watches suspiciously.
Okie. Kumiko HAS to be the evil woman in red. Heck. I don’t even know if she’s the original Kumiko. Even the style of her eyes has turn evil in some scenes. It is a good development though, something that I thought this series needed. Althoughwise it would just be your typical series, and the concept of God or not will be irrelevant.

Still can’t quite figure out what kind of person meme is. haha. 

In the end, Ai-chan is a loner, who has very little friends. But she has a doll whom she considered to be her friend. She falls off an overhead bridge one day together with a doll. The doll goes missing, but she writes on a tanzaku her wish to meet Lulu. (the doll) So Papa-san grants the wish. WHY did Lulu come back as a human being!?!

Ha. I find Tenko absolutely hilarious, especially all her jealousies. But you can see her desire for a family of her own, after she and samatarou goes home with Lulu remaining with Ai. (of course, what she really wants is a family of her own, WITH samatarou)

The episode ended with a classic though. Samatarou and Tenko finally kissed. (albeit because of an accident, but also because they wanted it to happen)

But because  Samatarou revealed that he’s a God (can’t remember whether it was to Lulu or to Ai), Papa has to turn back time and give Samatarou a very painful punishment.

I was expecting the painful punishment to be a broken leg or something, after time was rewinded all the way back to the time they fell off the tree. But the punishment was actually that Tenko forgets about the kiss! Painful indeed. haha. (especially surprising, and also tells you more about what Samatarou thinks of Tenko)

We see a different side of meme in episode 6. She visits her father in heaven, where she catches her father catching for wishes. When meme tries to look at one of them, it accidentally flies away, something that happened yesterday too. (I suppose this is a clue to what’s happening) Here we see a very cute side of meme, instead of her mysterious side, as she shows her concern for samatarou and tenko

Well, back to samatarou and tenko. So tenko wasn’t pregnant, but rather found a baby outside. The baby is named Ai, and a photo in her cradle provides some clue on who she is. But in the next few days, Ai basically grows up really quick, and is slowly discovered by the rest of the family. Including an utterly traumatised mom, after Ai-chan calls her “grandma”

In parallel, during a visit to sinichi, samatarou ends up talking to the girl, after sinichi asks him to help get to know the girl. (of course samatarou ends up in a long talk with the girl instead). The girl reveals that she has a dream where a demon (lady in red dress), keeps calling out to her, but there’s also a girl who asks her to stay.

At this point, you know that Ai-chan and the girl in the hospital is connected. Especially after Ai says that she can only stay for 5 days. Misa plays a trick on Samatarou by asking Ai to deliver bento to him and tenko in a school swimsuit. Of course samatarou is pissed, but misa then shows him the photo from the cradle. And the girl in the photo (which has been blurred out) is actually Ai.

Actually, I was expecting the doll to be Ai. Not the person holding the doll. So far, you have the feeling that everything is linked, but you don’t quite know how. But the mom’s reactions were absolutely hilarious. haha. Anyway, next epsidoe will reveal everything

Summer vacation is over, and everybody is back in school. Samatarou is seen sleeping, and repeated attempts by Tenko to wake up him up fails. Samatarou ends up making a fool of himself after waking up and uttering rubbish.

Sinichi pops by to talk about a pretty gal next door, whom samatarou and Tenko can’t be bothered with. However, Sinichi tempts him with Samatarou’s favorite yakisoba bread. Together, they climb up a tree to peep into the girl’s locker room. Tenko’s avatar (what do you actually call it anyway) suddenly appears to try to see where samatarou is, while he tries to block her view with his own avatar. Through the commotion, the branch they are own breaks, and they fall.

Tenko rushes to them from the classroom but realises what they were trying to do, and proceeds to kick Samatarou. Because samatarou was lying on top of sinichi, the extra force breaks his leg, and off to the hospital he goes.

Tenko reports to the Mom, but when they arrive home, they are met by the family dressed up as nurse. Samatarou ends up fainting after Mama-san buries his face in her breast for way too long. Later that night, Misa questions Tenko to ask if anything happened during summer vacation, because they seemed different. Tenko is really embarassed, and ends up hiding in her room. Non-stop steaming. haha.

No breakfast the next day by Tenko, as she informs the family that she’s ill. Samatarou goes off to visit sinichi, with Misa following, being convinced that Samatarou must be visiting a mistress. At the hospital, Misa teases Sinichi a little, but soon goes home, disappointed that Samatarou’s visit was honest.

Sinichi brings Samatarou to the hospital park, and points out a girl under a tree in a wheelchair. Basically, he has fallen in love with the girl, although he knows nothing about the girl. There also seems to be a sense of mystery surrounding the girl. Samatarou leaves the hospital with the feeling that he’s seen the girl before.

Returning home, Tenko is still stuck in her room. The episode ends with Samatarou standing outside her room, and Tenko finally declaring to herself that she’s pregnant.

Um. Feels very much like a filler episode. No comments.

So samatarou insist on becoming a human, despite Tenko asking him what would happen to her if he became human. Obviously, samatarou totally does not understand Tenko’s feelings, and by the very next morning, experiences what it means to be human.

Late for school, hunger pangs, traffic lights that actually turn red, no instant communication with family. Even MEME CHANGED!

But more importantly, a missing guardian angel, whose every trace disappears, and nobody around seems to remember her.

Well, samatarou goes ahead with what he became human for. Basically, to confess to kumiko. Instead, he ends up meeting a totally indifferent kumiko, who is having her last day at school, and would be leaving in a bullet train the next day. Samatarou ends up asking about tenko instead of confessing

Samatarou skips school the next day, and walks past the angel shop that he and tenko visited in ep 3. The store owner ends up being somebody who looks totally like Tenko. Samatarou proceeds to pour out his problems to the owner. (let’s just call her tenko) He talks about how there’s somebody he likes. Someone who’s a close friend. Well… more than just a friend. someone he might like.

Tenko then asks her whether the close friend is more important, or whether the girl he likes is more important, and basically scolds him for two timing. She ends up giving him BGR advice and asks him to express himself otherwise he’ll rot inside. The reason was she thinks this way is because she also had a guy she liked. and she regret that her feelings never got across to the guy.

a lot of irony in the whole conversation.

Well. it’s almost time for the kumiko’s bullet train. Tenko decides to fetch samatarou on her bike, so that they can meet. And surprisingly, none of the traffic lights turned red

Still, they missed the bullet train that kumiko was leaving on. Samatarou gets on the bike, and say they’ll catch up with the bullet train. Apparently, samatarou’s magical powers are back, turning traffic lights green, and passing through buildings. Still not fast enough.

then tenko turns back into well. tenko. and they flew… on Tenko’s wings.

Well, they did catch up with the bullet train, but other than samatarou mouthing some words, nothing seemed to have happened. Tenko somehow seemed to have turned back into the store owner though,.

When samatarou reaches back home, everything seems to have turned back to normal.He goes into Tenko’s room… (surprise! she’s back!)

he gives her the musical box that she has always wanted. and after some light banter, gave her a kiss. And tenko’s reaction? She basically turned red until she steamed. haha

Er. not sure if that’s the end of kumiko that we’ll see. (well… unlikely.. since she features a lot in the OP) The whole episode was quite sweet, and I was wondering whether to cheer for tenko, or whether to cheer for samatarou going after kumiko. Thus far, kumiko has played a very very very small role.

samatarou decides to go shopping for a gift for kumiko, after meme talks about roses and wine. Tenko goes with samatarou, but after thinking about how sweet it would be to recieve something from the person you love, insist that samatarou buy a “love” keychain for her. This however, leaves samatarou with no money for any gifts for kumiko.

Next day in school, samatarou surprisingly finds kumiko waiting for him at the game to make an apology. So it would seem like all things are going well. But in class, the sensei goes berzerk again. PE lessons! 3-legged race! But it’s not the fault of dad, mom, or elder sister. so whose fault can it be?

It’s Meme! Heh. Watch kumiko go through all kinds of crazy emotions.

But unlike ep 2, things ended well, and samatarou decides firmly to get a gift. He ends up choosing the “love” keychain as well, totally forgetting that he bought the same one for tenko. Tenko, already super jealous, is deeply hurt.

Back home. Samatarou insist on becoming a human, and that nobody else interferes with his courting for kumiko. Next ep, this happens, and it seems like something will happen to tenko. After all, if samatarou is human, he has no need for a guardian angel, does he. So will something develop? Till next ep! heh

Another good episode. Silly, funny, and perfect for those having a crush. haha.

Oops. Just realised that I didn’t review episode one. Episode 1 is an introduction episode. (duh) And it showed Samatarou as the son of God, coming to earth to learn about man. His father (God), however, likes to pamper his son by granting him all his wishes. His family is completed by his mom, and 2 sisters, totally making a very weird family. However, he is looked after by literally a guardian angel, Tenko, who is his classmate, and has been with him since they were born.

In episode 2, it’s about how Samatarou decides to start chasing Kumiko. Of course, his father intervenes initially, making kumiko totally fall in love with him. But that’s not what samatarou wants, and he goes home totally depressed again.

However, samatarou’s sis comes to him and gives him 4 tickets to the pool, asking him to go out on a group date. So Sinichi, Tenko, Samatarou goes on a group outing together to the pool. Midway through, suddenly a bevy of girls surrounds Samatarou. He looks around and realises its his sisters using their powers, wanting to make Kumiko jealous. And when later Samatarou and kumiko goes down the water slid, the sister extends the slide to forever.

But oops. Samatarou accidentally grabs Kumiko’s bikini, and they both sit seperately on the train home.

Have you ever had your family members try and interfere with your date, and all the time you’re thinking about how emarassing and irritating it is? Now. Imagine if they had the power to do anything as Well. This is what this episode is about, and it’s what so funny about the anime.

I was surprised that Tenko was helping samatarou out though. I guess I was expecting her to be a jealous guardian angel. haha. Looking at the end of the episode, I wonder how much samatarou likes tenko. And whether kumiko has a lot of feelings for samatarou
