Honey and Clover II - ep 12
what a way to start off the episode. It sure hits very hard to home.

Damn. This episode was SO GOOD. I wouldn’t have had any grduges even if it ended right here. How many of us cheered Shuuji on when Hagu chose him? I know I did. In a way, it felt weird. Yet it seemed like a very happy thing as well. And Hagu chose him, without know that Shuuji gave his all.
In a sense, this episode brings H n C back to it’s element. Everybody is back. There’s humor even in the midst of the tragedy called life. But then again, we’re still inching towards the end. *sigh*
It’s hard to look foward to Honey and Clover these days. Part of me doesn’t want to face the pain brought about by episode. Then again, I did enjoy this episode alot, (though it was still painful). This episode was all about friendship, although it also reminded me about how tough adulthood is going to be.
There are many ways to look at this episode. So I guess I’ll just talk about it as a student in his final year in University. It’s basically summed up in an ironic line that Shuu said. “I was just thinking that the festivals are coming to an end”
Shuu knew that the hamabi festivals would last another 3 days, so he must have been referring to something else. Or more accurately, to the good times they all had together.
Shoot. I’m left totally speechless again. I shouldn’t be too surprised really. But I’m wondering how Umino came up with a betrayal story… yet you end up not being able to hate the villain a single iota. I always thought that Tatsuo would have supported Morita all the way, you know. the faithful helper. I guess such a thing happens only in well… animes.
