Since I’m lazy, and didn’t stay all the way, I’ll just post up a couple of the prettier ones. I’ll leave the proper posting to pyoro, who i went with, and who had the full energy to stay all the way. hoho. The rest of my photos, as well as full sized versions can be caught here.
Went for cosfest at downtown east today. I think I’m getting too old for this. Cosfest is also getting too popular. The crowd was amazing. Good and bad depending on how you look at it. For me? I’d rather pay a nominal entrance fee, and have a smaller crowd. Easier to interact with the cosplayers like that. A lot of time, the contestants were also busy preparing for their performance. A pity. aha.
The only person that caught my attention was a very cute haruhi. Very young as well. But very cute. *roar*
Stayed there for around 4 hours, which was already too much for me already. There’s only so much people that I want to squeeze with. Not too many good cosplayers to look at either. Maybe mostly because I could only see the crowd. zzzz. getting too old. I thought Day 1 seemed to have more familiar faces and much better cosplayers. ah wellz.
In summary, every $30 gives you a chance to vote, as well as a shot at the lucky draw.
Here are the prizes for the Lucky Draw:
1st Prize: Nintendo DS Lite
2nd Prize: Lucky Star Nendroid Set (Konata and Kagami)
3rd Prize: 6 Months Subscription to Megami Magazine
4 x Consolation Prizes: $25 Vouchers from Nandemoya
The prizes look great though. However, I just cannot think of what I would possibly want that can add up to $30. Maybe I can buy some birthday gifts.
KKNM still owes me one preorder though, wonder if it’s here yet. It’s been delayed since months ago. In fact, the last time I promoted their event, and went for it… I didn’t get my blogger’s gift! something about out of stock. Aha. I’ll probably still go down for their event again though. Just to look see look see.
I was complaining at the last episode that the interesting things that were supposed to happened to Haruna were not happening! Well… they finally introduced some octopus and tentacles this episode round.
I laughed a fair bit at the first joke. Rito’s dreams of Haruna suddenly turned into Haruna holding out 2 balloons(?) to Rito. Of course Rito ends up waking up pressing to Lala’s breast instead.
For some reason, the series continues to focus entirely on Lala, with all fanservice coming from her as well. Quick introduction to Lala in school, followed by a quick trip to the aquarium, everything just seemed rushed and not very funny.
Episode 2 focused on Rito trying to break his engagement with Lala. Most of the material was taken from Chapter 2 of the manga, although there was some creativity involved, in terms of how Rito gets engaged (and unengaged) to Lala.
