Sumomomo Momomo – ep 10

I’ve missed this series so much! Although I can’t say that this episode was up to par to previous one, it was still fairly entertaining. More character development of hikaru and sanae.

Continuing where it was left off in the last episode, we have Hikaru shattering every dream of Sanae’s. Seems that marriage proposal involves a demonstration of Hikaru’s strength. For that purpose, he brought a bull along, which he overcomes easily demonstrating his FIVE horsepower.

Sanae though, has disappeared into her room once again though, lamenting everything. Especially when Granny brings up the power suit that Sanae would inherit, that will provide a boost of EIGHT horsepower.

Her horrible memories start from the last episode, where having left Koushi to fight the punks, Sanae needed a place to change. Just that she picks a truck that moves off just as she finishes removing her skirt. If that wasn’t bad enough, she didn’t dare to appear in front of Koushi in that silly outfit, hence leaving Koushi to be pummelled.

Back in school the next day, Sanae was so troubled that she performed a full somersault while doing high jumps. Luckily for her, Momoko was doing even more insane stuff.

Lunch time sees Sanae offering her bento to Hanzo and Iroha. Sanae bento is full of meat, (thanks to the bull from hikaru’s proposal), while Iroha’s bento only has rice and one plum (thanks to purchase of galge by Hanzo). However, enmity still exists between Iroha and Sanae and Iroha refuses the offer.

Meanwhile… Momoko continue to offers food to Koushi to boost his sperm count

That’s the first part of the episode though…

Seems that everybody is part of the same clique now. Sanae’s current major problem would be to avoid having Koushi discover that she’s *gasps* one of the weird martial artiste type too!

She’s got a problem though. Even as Iroha & Hanzo suggests going to their house to play galge games, she sees Hikaru following them, all eager to prove his strength in a proposal of marriage. This cumulates in Hikaru trying to stop a moving train, before being pushed aside by Sanae. Sanae tries to convince him that all is impossible, but Hikaru realises that Koushi is his competitor.

All does not go well with the galge though.. with Iroha losing in the most stupid ways. Thus Hanzo is forced to return the game. However, he meets Hikaru along the way, who mistakes him as Koushi, and a battle results. The galge is swiftly shattered when used to block Hikaru’s kick, and Hanzo faces defeat until Iroha arrives on the scene, who finally clears up the confusion. Unfortunately for Koushi, Iroha thinks that for Hikaru to want to challenge Koushi is very commendable.

All seems well for Sanae… when returning home, her grandma tells her that Hikaru has gone to become a better man before returning. Unfortunately, Hikaru is seen waiting for Koushi at school the very next day.

Thoughts

I guess I can get used to Hirano’s voice as Sanae.

Anyway, Sanae is just so leggy! hahah

(I really didn’t see the joke about HORSEPOWER coming. :S)
