Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru – 08

An episode focused on Yukari, and one of the worst of the series I must say.

Yukari’s story centers around her running. An early morning run with Yukari chasing after some “ghosts” provides foreboding to what is to come.

Kana has been chosen to be the lead in a play that the drama club is put up. Yet at the same time, Yukari seemed to be lacking energy and feeling very worthless. Even as Mariya explains that selections for track is coming, it seems that Yukari’s timings have been deproving.

Of course, everybody tries to help her out, with Ichiko putting in the most effort. But it’s obvious to everyone that Yukari is a short distance runner, yet she insists on running long distance.

Finally, it is revealed that Yukari’s older sister was previously in the track team doing long distance, and this was something that Yukari wanted to strife for, hence causing Yukari problems.

Thoughts
In the end, the problem was solved though. The plot was crappy. The conclusion was crappy. I’m not even sure whether I understood it properly. All in all, an episode totally not worth watching.
