Oh boy. Kagami is positively being bullied by Konata in this episode. It’s autumn, so let the sports meet begin! Don’t miss out on Tsukasa dressed in Ayu outfit.
Konata’s dad is being interviewed, after being seen at the site of a sports meet. Sounds pretty normal, until you realise that Konata’s sports meet is not being held yet.
Kagami ponders about cutting her hair short. This invites teasing from Konata that such a drastic move must be because of a guy, as well as how her tsundere face can only do with a twin tail.
Sports day! Kagami continues to get bullied, even as Konata guesses that Kagami would definitely be joining the bread eating race. Kagami training? Konata questions whether it’s simply for the sports meet. At the same time, Miyuki is not spared. She joins the 4×100 race after Konata points out that her figure is too good and will be troublesome in an obstacle race.
Konata recounts how somebody had come look for her, as part of a scavenger race before, but refused to reveal why. A million and one weird answers come to the mind of Kagami and Tsukasa. In the end, Konata asks Miyuki who wonderful dodges the question by saying it must be because of the mole on her face.
In the classroom, Tsukasa and Konata try to think of all the good things that are coming up, even as Miyuki keeps bringing the conversation back to the fact that mid terms is coming. That’s until Kagami forces them to face reality.
Cousin yui reveals how she always thought the starter pistol was real, and how it inspired her to join the police force. Konata’s weird family is complete by her dad’s urgency to prepare the necessary equipment to attend Konata’s sports meet.
Results of the meet? Kagami shows everybody how to win the bread eating race by collapsing the whole structure holding up the breads. Konata reveals how she wins by visualizing everything as a game. Tsukasa shows off how hurdles should be done, by knocking everyone down. Best is left for Miyuki, who passes the finishing line first simply because of her bigger breast.
Sports meet is over, Tsukasa begins torturing everybody with her wonderful recorder skills. She has something very wrong with her playing.
The whole gang visits the school canteen for a change, lamenting the long queue. Miyuki tells a story of how she once queued for two hours at a fair, only to find out that it’s for a toilet. Tsukasa shares the pain by sharing how she frequently reach the end of a queue only to find out that everything is sold out.
Of course. the exact same thing happens to both of them again.
After school sees Tsukasa feeling real lucky that she’s considered the younger sis. Because she cannot imagine being the older sis and still having to ask Kagami for homework to copy. But the again, one of Tsukasa’s fantasy is to have Kagami come and ask her for help instead.
Konata’s mail got published in Newtype. Wow.
Konata thinks she’s very devious in not falling for a bookstore’s trap, by being forced to by a ~1000yen book on impulse just to complete her loyalty card. That’s until she finds a 2500 yen book that she actually wanted. Problem is that she goes home to find that she already owned the book.

Thoughts
I thought this episdoe’s pacing started off weird, although in the end, it turned out fine. THe animation quality seemed poorer to me too, although I’ve never quite been a good judge of this.
Still… the humor level is still as good. Smacked myself real hard on my forehead after seeing Miyuki run the 100m dash, because you JUST KNEW how the she was going to win.
I think every character is becoming real lovable though, real tough to make a choice now.
