If you’ve been wanting to see the twins swap hairstyles, this is the episode for you. That said, the level of jokes seem to just get better. No longer dependant on lame punchlines.

Tsukasa gets a new phone. Promises to put it in an obvious place so as to make sure it doesn’t end up in the washing machine again. Ends up dropping it to the floor immediately after that.

Tsukasa still doesn’t quite know how to text. This annoys the hell out of Kagami who insists on teaching her.

Over at Konata’s house, Cousin Yui is over here to play. Does she even notice that Konata is playing some RA dating galge? Even as she rants on about laws and safety rules later, its hard to take her seriously with the way she looks.

Miyuki shows off her absent minded side, by being totally unaware of her surroundings. First missing her name being called while at the doctor, second was missing her busstop entirely.

Back to Tsukasa and her phone, after she finally learns how to text. This inspires her to go on a text spree to Kagami, even though they stay in the same house.

Tsukasa goes all confident about texting after her dad enquirers about how to do so.

Kagami refuses to let Konata look through her phone. Obviously kagami has secret texts from a man that can’t be seen. Or so Konata says

You know Konata’s a much treasured customer when anime shops start to pull in all effort the moment she arrives. (cue for parody)

Sleepover at Konata’s house for a change. Apparently Konata has been telling her dad stuff about the twins being priest maidens.

Of course Konata’s room is like any Otaku’s room, filled with figurines and anime posters.

Apparently Konata’s dad does not write galge and visual novels. He plays enough of them to not want to involve them in his work place as well.

Konata is one hardcore Otaku, even though she reserves all her lingo only for online chat. She’s a great cook though.

Shooting star means its time to make a wish.What proceeds sees Tsukasa as obviously the dreamy one, with Kagami being way overly practical and cynical.

The twins decide to change hairstyles after bathing. Whoa.

Looking through photo albums, they see one of Konata’s dad and Konata Konata’s mom. This inspires a chat of Konata’s preferred type of men. She has none, and thus concludes her mom probably had none too, which is why she could tolerate marrying Konata’s dad.

A quick text from Tsukasa to Miyuki reminds everybody that there’s homework to be done. (cept for Kagami who is from another class)

Konata starts to go round coming up with nicknames for Tsukasa and Kagami. Kagami ends up with Kyo-chan (play on words). Jokingly, Kagami tells Konata to call her Kagami-sama instead. To her chagrin, Konata really does.

Thoughts

Plenty of Haruhi placements all over the episode! Didn’t annoy me though. Was quite amused, and thought it was a nice touch, like a touch of reality.

That said, definite top notch jokes this episode.

+ many cute moments like Tsukasa trying to act all confident and the appearance of Kanata.

This week’s ED is “I’m Proud” by Tomomi Kahala. Hearing ‘Kagami’ crack at the high pitches just got me in stitches
