I think Hinano disliked it because it wasn't what she even remotely expected, and the disappointment clouded her judgement as to the actual content of the show. It's a pity as she's one of my favorite bloggers and is usually far less intransigent in her judgements. What really upsets me though, is the fact that there have been a few bloggers today and yesterday, insinuating that anyone who enjoys the show is a moe sexual fetishist and/or a Seifuku fanatic. For one thing the 4koma discusses "moe" rather than being moe. And to find that a comedy set in a japanese school has students in seifuku, is hardly shocking. But even with my limited command of Japanese, I still managed to catch a joke or two. Then again, that's to be expected of a work based on a 4-koma series, right? I sense that there's a lot of "in" jokes and cultural references in the series that won't make sense unless you're Japanese or have lived in Japan for a while... like the supposed "ending" karaoke.
