How can Kyoshiro say such cruel things to Setsuna! After Setsuna comes to save him. Hmph.

After that fall from the last episode, seems that Kyoshiro saved Kuu by landing her land on him. He suffers a cut on his hand though, and Kuu being Kuu, fumbles around trying to patch him up. In the end, she uses pieces of her skirt.

Plot advancement! With kyoshiro revealing to Kuu about who his older brother is. Seems that the older brother had worked in the lab researching about the absolute angels. When Kyoshiro visited one day, the brother had told him that the absolute angels shouldn’t be used by mankind (or something liddat). At the end of the trip though, there was an accident in the lab, with the older brother pushing kyoshiro into an escape capsule with himself never seen again.

Kuu goes off to get water, but ends up meeting Sojiro. Kyoshiro arrives asking Sojiro to back off, and we find out that Sojiro is actually Kyoshiro’s other brother, who had actually helped Tarurotte escaped.

Kyoshiro reiterates his desire to destroy all absolute angels, including Setsuna, the sword that fights for him.

Meanwhile Tarurotte and Setsuna, who have been fighting on the surface, arrives. Tarurotte launches a series of kick attacks, while Kyoshiro asks Setsuna to block, AT ALL COST, even when she’s obviously breaking.

Hearing Kyoshiro’s cruel words, Kuu jumps forward and hugs him, asking him not to say such things. At the same time, she seems to emit some sort of light. Next scene, the battle is over already.

Thoughts

Plot advancement! Shock of the series.

Lots of complex subplots really. The names are all too long and complicated to follow too.

Generally the feeling I get from the series is a lot of boredom. You don’t really care about what’s going on. But it’s quirky enough to hold your attention at times.

A previous comment mentions that:

Part of what makes Kuu so great is the voice and acting of Yahagi Sayuri, the young VA who played Karin, and who is also Gretel in Otogijushi Akazukin.

I’m starting to agree alot. With so much narration, a lot hinges on the voice of Kuu, and it’s done very well I must say.

I’m still cheering Setsuna on though. Her look at the end was pitful
