Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora - ep 03
*sparkle sparkle* This series seems to be anchored by Kuu’s totally interesting character! She seems so stupid and perceptive at the same time that it’s amazing. haha.
More introductions about who the absolute angels were…. explainations which I totally didn’t understand, but I guess it’s not important. They were trying to hint about how important kuu was though. haha
Back to Setsuna, who prepares a meal while kuu looks on. Kyoshiro is seen to be pleased with what’s prepared, but Kuu happily smacks her face into a vanilla cake.
Thus transition to bath scene, where Setsuna tries but fail to wash away the vanilla smell. In fact, Setsuna gives Kuu a little peck, thinking that it’ll cheer Kuu up.
Moving on to Tarurotte, who basically makes a habit out of bullying Sojiro. Tarurotte first sucks life from an entire pool of school girl, and nearly prevents Sojiro from saving them from dying. Later, Tarurotte resolves to attack Kuu and Setsuna.
Switching to Kaon, we see Kaon being tortured and pain inflicted on her. We’re later told that it’s a process to make Kaon better. But we see what kind of master Mika is when she refuses to let Kaon heal before continuing with the process.
Back to Kuu and friends. Time for them to escape out of the school so that innocent students will not be harmed. Kyoshiro will take a hidden route with Kuu, while Setsuna will take an obvious main road.
Setsuna obviously has feelings for Kyoshiro, especially with the bento she makes, and even Kuu notices. But when asked, Kyoshiro claims that they are neither lovers or partners, and it’s fine, but Kuu argues whether it’s fine for Setsuna.
However, Tarurotte arrives on the scene, following Kuu’s vanilla smell, and her first attack leaves Kyoshiro and Kuu falling and falling into somewhere….
Thoughts
This series doesn’t seem to be moving away from a mishmash of weird ideas, but that’s a strong point for it. Plenty of bathe scenes around, interestingly, where all the serious talks take place. Of course, how serious can the talks be when Kuu is involved.
And thus lies the strongest point of the series. Kuu. She is an absolutely interesting character. The way she thinks to her prince which serves as a naration, and her “innocent” way of thinking. Yet I was quite amazed that she picked up on Setsuna’s feelings.
Actually I like Setsuna the most, both in character design, and the role she plays. Reminds me alot of Chii from Chobits.

Part of what makes Kuu so great is the voice and acting of Yahagi Sayuri, the young VA who played Karin, and who is also Gretel in Otogijushi Akazukin.
