Zero no Tsukaima – Ep 08
Now we know why louise always appears at all the right moments when saito is in “trouble” (with other ladies
) She actually misses him and goes searching for him. Heh. It’s actually quite fun watching Louise bully Saito. And we finally see Louise wondering why she gets so pissed at Saito.
Saito and Louise are returning to the Academy on horseback, with Saito grabbing Louise’s chest. Saito remarks that it should be okay since her chest is flat anyway, earning a kick off the horse. The two spot Tabitha and Kirche, with Kirche immediately hugging Saito into her chest. As they leave, Saito bids them a nice trip, earning a kick from Louise. “Have a nice trip my ass”.
Meanwhile, Kirche and Tabitha continue on their trip to Tabitha’s home. Kirche tries to make small talk, but gets no response. Tabitha only seemed to respond when Kirche mentioned that she had come overseas to study as her family wanted to get rid of her. Soon, a farmer approaches to inform them that Ragdorian Lake has flooded, and that they have to take a detour.
Back at Tristein, Saito gets more work to be done, while Louise wonders why she’s so frustrated. Going to the courtyard, Saito spots Montmorency getting angry at Guiche (again). He also spots an abandoned large pot, and he request permission from the Cook to take it.
Back to Kirche, she spots a sign on the road bearing the crest of the Gallia royal family. She asks if Tabitha is part of the royal family, but gets no reply. They soon arrive at a very grand mansion, where they are greeted by the butler, who strangely greets Tabitha as Charlotte. Kirche asks to greet Tabitha’s father, but Tabitha shakes her head, and tells her to just wait first.
The Butler comes in, and Kirche enquires about Tabitha and her family, and why he calls her Charlotte. The butler then gives a full introduction of the family’s history. Tabitha’s father is actually the king’s younger brother. Moreover, he was more presentable, and could speak a lot better. And when the previous king passed away, there were factions that did not agree who would succeed as king, and hence a war broke out, during which Tabitha’s father was murdered.
Soon after, allies of the new King tried to poison Tabitha, but her mom sensed that something was wrong, and drank the poison for herself. The poison was basically one that drove the mind insane.
Meanwhile, Tabitha has gone into her mom’s room, and indeed, her mom is insane. She does not recognise Tabitha, but instead clings tightly to a doll that she’s holding. Meanwhile, the Butler is telling Kirche that the doll is actually a doll named tabitha that the mom gave to Charlotte. After that incident, Tabitha (i’ll prefer to call her tabitha), she kept getting impossible jobs to accomplish. Yet she succeeded. But her rewards did not match her achievements, having only the title of Chevalier, and being sent overseas to study, hence being effectively gotten rid of.
Back at Tristein, it’s night time, and Saito has taken the pot and effectively constructed a hot bath out of it. Coincidentally, Siesta is passing through with a teapot and cups, which she ends up dropping when surprised by Saito. Saito explains about hot baths, and invites Siesta in, thinking she won’t agree. But Siesta actually starts stripping, saying that she knows Saito won’t do any weird things. Saito intially panics and is quite embarrassed, but gets used to it pretty quickly. (who wouldn’t)
Meanwhile, Montmorency has concoted a potion of Guiche, and has dated Guiche in the garden. Soon Louise is seen coming out, totally pissed that Saito is missing. She spots Siesta (and her well endowed chest) and Saito in the bathe, and walks away pissed.
Meanwhile, neither Saito or Siesta has noticed anything. Siesta reveals that her great grandfather was from another world too. Soon, Siesta gets out of the bath, for which she thanks Saito. But suddenly all Coy, she tells Saito that the best part was actually him.
Louise is all mad about Saito. But doesn’t understand what she’s all so pissed about either. Montmorency has managed to slip her potion into a glass of wine for Guiche. But Louise stomps over, grabs the drink, and finishes it before Montmorency could say anything.
When Saito finally returns, he finds Louise hopping mad at him. Yet her face is unsually flushed. But suddenly, Louise lunges towards Saito, and starts being all coy with Saito. Scolding him for being such an idiot, and for thinking it’s all a joke when she loves him so much. Just then, Montmorency appears, and sighs, seeing Louise acting as expected.
Back to Tabitha, she’s gotten yet another job from the King. So this was why she returned home, to complete the task. Kirche insists on going along. Tabitha looks pretty appreciative. In the night, Kirche hears Tabitha crying about her mother. Kirche goes over holding Tabitha tight in her arms, comforting her.
Thoughts
Uh. Best episode so far! More abuse of Saito by Louise. I realised I don’t really want to Saito being cool anymore. haha. And the last part, Louise was just so cute. haha. And the start where she went “have a nice journey my ass” was just hilarious. More louise! More more!
OH~~~~~~~~~~~~~Saito, seems like this spell the start of your nightmare in the next episode.
Having Louise all act cute on Saito should be interesting too. The jealous Louise. haha.
