Hurh? No trashing of earth golem by Saito? Disappointing. In the end, the thief still got away with the staff of destruction. Although it’s increasingly obvious who the thieve is.

We start off with a display of ability of Fouquet, who seems to use earth magic to enter a building to steal money.

bscap0583.jpgLouise is trying to train Saito in marching, and in speech. Basically, trying to get him to come up with something to perform in the upcoming competitive show of familiars. Saito jokes about a performance of washing Louise’s panties, something he is used to. *flog time* Attempts to practise performing with the sword isn’t going very well though. Siesta spots Saito lying on the ground the next day, wondering if he is practising for the competition. She comments that everyone is practising, since Princess Henrietta, and wishes Saito all the best, before leaving.

bscap0585.jpgPrincess Henrietta arrives the next day. By evening, Saito still sucks, and once again, suggests the panties washing. But before he gets whipped, there’s a knock on the door. Saito opens it to reveal Princess Henrietta. Apparently, Princess Henrietta and Louise have been childhood playmates, and have made a promise to help one another in times of need. And it was because of this that nothing happened to Louise after the Count Mott incident. However, Princess Henrietta seems heavily burdened.

bscap0586.jpgAt the competition, Louise gets laughed at for showing off a commoner. Saito tries to quiet them down by acting cool swinging Derflinger, but ends up inviting more laughter. In the end, he gets dragged off the stage by Louise.

Meanwhile, Fouquet is trying to get into the treasury room, but can’t get past the magical barrier. She summons up an earth golem and tries to use physical force, but does not succeed either.

bscap0589.jpgThen comes along saito and Louise. Saito ends up getting captured by the golem. Louise tries to rescue him by shooting a fireball, which doesn’t work, nearly kills Saito, and ends up cracking the treasure room’s wall. This allows the golem to break through the walls, and Fouquet to get what she wanted.

Meanwhile, Tabitha and her Slypth has been chosen as winners. (duh) The princess request them to show off their flying again, and just as they do so, they spot Fouquet and the golem, and rescures Saito just as he is dropped by the golem.

Princess Henrietta has to rush back to the Palace to report what has happened. Louise wished she could help, and has been hearing some horrible rumours about the Palace.

Wished we could see a cool Saito, instead of an act cool Saito. Oh. And his panties jokes too. At least we are shown hints of Louise’s powers. Although albeit misfired, her ‘fireball’ did crack the barrier formed by a square mage, something which forquet couldn’t do. (does this mean Louise has the potential to be a pentagon mage? as shown by her familar) I must say the story telling is not very good though. We shall see what those rumours in the Palace are about.
