Eh? Whatever happened to the magical powers of Suonkasu. In fact, he became just a mind crazy, punching bag. In this end, this episode focused more on Karura and Derihourai.

Long ago, Karura’s castle was invaded. Katumau led Karura and Derihourai to the opening of an underground water passageway. However, Karura insists that they go ahead without her, while she stays back to hold back the soldiers. (In fact, she was pretty impressive for a small kid)

Back to the present, Derihourai is attacking the enemy’s camp, together with Hakuoro and his Harem. After easily defeating them, Hakuoro warns of dangers of chasing, andKarura stops Derihourai from chasing after the enemy.

Back at their own camp, everybody discusses about the next step. It is decided that the wounded and the woman and child would withdraw, and just continuos fighting isn’t a viable option. Outside, there are amazing flowers floating down the rivers, and Karura mentions that she knows a sneaky way into the castle, through an underground water passageway. However, there is the problem of the passageway large enough to allow only a small force. Katumau then volunteers to lead the rest of the army in a diversion at the main gate.

That night, Derihourai asks hakuoro to give him karura after this war is over. But To hakuoro, Karura isn’t an item to be traded for. Derihourai then talks about how he has never met a woman better than karura other than his own sister. (sounded like he wanted karura as his wife)

Later, Hakuoro meets with karura. Karura replies that she intends to return back to Tousukuru. When asked if it’s alright to throw away her past like that, Karura then asks about Hakuoro, who does not have any memories either. But to Hakuoro, somebody once mentioned that he is still him, without or without memories. To this, Karura replies that she is the same.

The assault on the castle proceeds easily, and Hakuoro and his Harem reaches the throne room without problems. There they encounter a flowerbed made of human bodies. Suonkasu mentions that he grew this flowers just for karura, or rather, Karurauatsuurei. The soldiers of Sounkasu charge at the harem repeatedly, but are easily defeated. Sounkasu mentions how he had the rebellion in order to lure Karurauatsuurei out, and mentions that he can provide her with a life better than what she had as a queen. By now, everybody , including Derihourai, realises who she was. But karura refuses Sounkasu’s proposition, and he decides to take her by force. (using his soldiers)

Derihourai charges at Sounkasu, but is easily fell using darts. Karura comes over and orders him to stand, causing Sounkasu to call him a weak. But Karura surprises Sounkasu by killing his guards with one swipe. Derihourai uses this opening, and basically bashes Sounkasu up.

Karura reminds Derihourai that his comrades are still outside fighting, and he should go to them. He makes her promise that she would wait for him, which she does. But when he leaves, she tells the rest that it’s time to go back home. Eruru talks about how sad it is, especially since she promised already. But Karura just thanks her, and leaves. Outside, Derihourai declares victory, and the battle is over.

Back at Tousukuru, Oborro refuses to leave his sister’s side. (no more road trips without him) But he gets utterly embarassed when he wants to follow his sister, aruru and kamyu, but does not realise that they just want to go to the baths.

Derihourai comes over as an emperor, to thank the emperor of Tousukuru for providing food and supplies. And he is surprised, when he realises that the emperor is actually Hakuoro. Hakuoro assures him that Karura is doing very well.

Later, Hakuoro asks that if Karura wishes to leave, she can still catch up with Derhourai, but she reminds him that she’s just Karura, whose master is Hakuoro.

Thoughts

No glorious battle that I thought would happen. But it was a nice episode about the siblings. And we do see a very nice person is Karura. Coupled with the utterly cute shots of Touka, it leaves you wonder who you like more. haha. But it’s nice to see Karura and Touka becoming good friends.

I guess this means that Derihourai won’t be joining Hakuoro’s party, like in the game.
