Pretty random episode of Yusuke trying to convince Aoba and friend how pretty sports girls are. This leads up to a finale of Aoba and Yayoi. Zzz

The start sees Yayoi trying to beat her personal best timing in swimming, but not quite succeeding. Elsewhere in school, the school council has started any ‘game’, but once again, Aoba wins. This time however, he looks way too excited compared to the past. After seeing Aoba hang around outside the pool, they conclude it’s because of feelings developed for Yayoi.

The 2 friends then drag Aoba off to the canteen for a time of confession. It leads to Yusuke declaring how pretty sports girls are. The other 2 are not convinced, thus Yusuke leads them around to see how pretty sports girls are. There, they get pwned by the track captain, and later the music teacher.

In the process of running away, they get separated. Meanwhile, the other two guys meet up with the Canteen girl, who sells them supposedly optical camouflage PINK tights. Aoba however gets confronted by his classmate for two-timing, but gets saved by the chick. His two friends invade the pool, but obviously the camouflage does not work, and they get chased by the music teacher. Running away, they see aoba, and this provides a distraction for aoba to sneak into the pool.

Aoba meets up with Yayoi, and they end up having a sweet chat. Aoba tells her not to worry so much about her timing, but to just swim with enthusiasm. Yayoi is so impressed by what he says, that she asks him to be his coach.

Thoughts

Seemingly random episode, though the plot flowed fairly well in the end I guess.

Some jokes felt very forced, like the school council game, and the yakuza chick. Kinda felt like they were there because they’re trademarks of the show and it had to be there. I.e. Fillers.

You do see development of Aoba though.

Anyway, i think all the girls are super boring. I’m rooting for the canteen girl.
