Someone told me the episode 2 was so silly until it’s very funny. So I decided to give this series a try.

Ooga Riku is a new transfer student to Tsumugino Private High, whose motto is “freedom”. The school students experiances can be described as that of a encouraged, bustling high school student. Without knowing why, every day troubles tend to swallow up Ooga Riku.

Can we expect Riku to encourage himself and lead a high school life?

And can he find love with the flawlessly beautiful girl “Amamiya Sayuri,” the robust daughter who loves to love, “Kasuga Tsukasa,” or the younger sister type and swimming girl, “Yayoi Mina?”

Living one’s life now as a high school student, a person who was formally a high school student、and someone who will become a high school student、a true new feeling of a high school student’s significance, a new world of “Tokimemo” is beginning!

Your typical high school story?

This episode starts off with a welcome activity for the transfer student. Unfortunately, it involves him passing a nekko cap to Amamiya, while the rest of the school is supposed to intercept him. The one who succeeds will get the Handphone number of Amamiya, which is a fully kept secret.

So in the end, Riku succeeds, but only because the little chick he was feeding came and rescued him from a school bully. A scene of a bashed up bully made most of the school give up the chase as well.

Thoughts

It does show some interesting promise, and the gags were quite refreshing. And who can forget the little chick, which totally epitomise coolness.

I didn’t like the use of flashback to tell the story though, thus for most of the episode, I was wondering why Riku was running around, rather than really enjoying all the jokes. But I guess it’s just a episode 1 thing.

Aoba Riku has just transferred to a new high school because of his father’s job, and things aren’t quite what he expected. The headmaster’s secretary controls the school while espousing the virtues of academic freedom, the teachers are even stranger than normal teachers, and half the student body is walking around with animal ears on. On his very first day, Riku is unfortunate enough to find himself at the center of the student council’s latest event, which has him running for his life. All this on top of the normal high school rigour of popularity contests, crushes, and homework makes it unsure whether Riku will be able to survive this new school.
