Hoho. So they’ve finally used the most possible funny topic possible, where feelings for haruhi gets spilled into the open. And kudos for the story writers for making it a laugh riot even though you knew exactly just what was going to come.

Continuing where the last episode left off, Kasanoda apologises to haruhi before scampering out of the room. The twins appear, asking if he saw it. In a panic, Kasanoda isn’t able to give a firm answer, changing between a yes and a no. Of course, Tamaki has decayed into a white shell in the background. Hunny appears in front of him, saying that a man who cannot admit the truth is trash, causing kasanoda to comment that the lovely item is suddenly now so scary.

Finally Kasanoda admits to seeing Haruhi in her underwear, something that the twins have never seen, and are totally jealous about. Ready to hammer him with a baseball bat, kyoya stops him citing that it’ll be messy to try to cover up a crime. Instead, he says it is better to start negotiating, but his negotiation involves basically threatening Kasanoda with the ootori family’s secret police. Finally, Haruhi comes out of the room telling everyone to stop threating Kasanoda. Turning to Kasanoda, Haruhi tells him that it’s alright if he tells that she is a girl, for she does not mind at all.

That night at Kasanoda’s residence, Tetsuya comes out to tell everyone that Kasanoda refuses to have dinner. They are upset, especially since Tetsuya had told them Kasanoda now know of their admiration for him, and they have even prepared many empty cans to play with. Tetsuya reveals that he believes Kasanoda is troubled by love matters, since he was playing with flower petals. When asked if the target is pretty, Tetsuya replies in that yes, he has seen haruhi, and looks quite cute…. for a guy.

Next day, Kasanoda arrives at the Host Club. And to the pleasant surprise of all the girl present, he arrives as a customer and calls for the services of haruhi. (to them, haruhi is still a guy) Meanwhile, Kasanoda does not understand why his glares do not freeze people anymore, but in fact, it’s countered by by the moe fire of yaoi fangirls.

The twins are upset and jealous, and asks Kyoya to stop them, and kick kasanoda out. Kyoya refuses, since kasanoda has kept haruhi’s secret, and besides kasanoda is attracting a lot of customers. In fact, many girls, including renge are calling up their friends to come look at his forbidden love.

The twins are afraid to do anything themselves because of what happened previously, so after come ‘convincing’, they send Tamaki. But Tamaki is still in shock, and basically is just similar to the robot that goes “mah”. Seated beside Haruhi, he does nothing but play with a metal puzzle which haruhi bought. Frustrated, the twins phone him and tell him that if he doesn’t do anything, Haruhi will become a Yakuza’s wife. This spurs him into action, where he starts to threaten, finally exerting his status as haruhi’s father. Kasanoda responds by questioning how Tamaki can be haruhi’s father at such a young age. He also asks if Tamaki has met Haruhi’s mother, which he has not either. This causes Tamaki to wither into a spirit again.

At one corner, the host club is worrying for Tamaki. Waking up, Tamaki starts to question if he is not Haruhi’s father, why does he think that Haruhi is cute, and care so much for her. Why does Tamaki care about Haruhi being with another guy if he is not her father. Kaoru then steps him and questions about how isn’t his fatherly role just something to hold the family in the host club together. Tamaki is totally ignorant of what he is saying, causing Kaoru to be devestated as well. Tamaki is saved when he overhears Haruhi telling Kasanoda that while Tamki isn’t her father, they are actually very similar.

Meanwhile, before leaving, Kasanoda decides to confess to Haruhi. But before he can finally blurt everything out, Haruhi comments that it’s nice to have a friend, and to have kasanoda to be her friend. Total rejection! This causes all the fangirls to be overly excited, espeically when kasanoda reponds to Haruhi that they be friends forever. Everybody wants to be his friend now.

In the background, tamaki mentions that he feels a little sorrowful for kasanoda, but kyoya comments that if he was her father, he shouldn’t be feeling that way. Later, Tamaki drags haruhi to hide together, but the rest of the host club end up hiding in the same place during a hide and seek game.

Meanwhile on a tree, Hunny is with Mori, and he wonders if anything will progress before they graduate.Hunny wonders if it’s okay for Tamaki not to realise his feelings for haruhi. he also comments that one of the twins also has hidden feelings for haruhi.

Thoughts

I think the biggest surprise was that Tamaki is really a big dumbdumb. So his daddy act wasn’t a surprise!

Series is ending in a few more episodes, and even though kaoru’s theory of family got thrown out of the window, it would be a real surprise to see the series conclude. My guess is there will be a season 2! Waiting for the manga to conclude.

Hmm… I wonder if Haruhi knows what’s going on. She’s protrayed as someone with a one track mind, who seems totally ignorant of what’s going on. Yet at the same time, she’s totally smart and can read people well. Come to think of it, I’ve got a friend like that, always acting blur all the time so as not to hurt the guys.

I’ve got to say I’ve always hated it when a girl tells a guy “let’s just be friends”. But I really couldn’t help but laugh at this episode.
