An episode that all fanboys of kyoya has been waiting for + I suppoes you can say… it was about a date between Kyoya and haruhi. All in all, it was funnier than expected, I thought the expressions of Haruhi and Kyoya really added to it. (And haruhi was dressed beautifully) And renge’s appearance was hilarious.

Kyoya wakes up from a dream about his family to find himself sitting on a bench in a world of commoners. Wasn’t he sleeping at home? Waitamin… he did hear the voice of Tamaki making lots of noises. Actually, 1 hour ago, the host club arrived at Kyoya’s bed, waking him up, with tamaki harassing him about an expo, and saying that they should all go, to learn about commoners and haruhi. Kyoya is one who doesn’t wake up very well, and tells them to do whatever they want in a pissed mood. Tamaki takes that as a yes, and drags him out. At the department store, they scatter, with each interested in their own thing. Meanwhile, kyoya is left forgotten on a bench, which is where he finds himself when he actually wakes up.

Things wouldn’t be so bad. IF he had his handphone and wallet with him. The realisation totally pissed kyoya off, and he vows to kill tamaki. His looks are scary enough to scare off a passing boy. Luckily for him, he meets haruhi. Together, they go to a fast food place, for Kyoya’s hungry.

Kyoya’s behavior in the fast food place surprised Haruhi, as he seemed like a totally different person. Kyoya explains that he does things only when there are benefits. And to answer Haruhi’s question, he gets together well with Tamaki in the host club, because there IS a profit to be made while in the host club. Everyone are in the host club for the same reasons. However, while thinking through this, he realises that there are times where Tamaki doesn’t always do things for profit though.

While wondering around the expo later, kyoya displays his background, by recognising Black Lipped Pearls from Ishigaki Island immediately. This spurs Haruhi to ask about his family. Kyoya explains that he has two brothers who excel. As such, the requirements he face from his dad is also raised considerably. And although he stands out the most, as the third child, it’s hard for him to stand a chance to take over the family business. This might seem harsh on Kyoya, but to kyoya, there’s no better game than this.

Later, they meet an old woman admiring some pottery. Kyoya goes over and warns her that the pottery is fake. Kyoya explains that helping the woman is profitable for him, as she’s the wife of some chairman. He recognised her by the ring she was wearing. But Haruhi also realised that there is no way for him to have seen the ring she was wearing.

Meanwhile, the rest of the host club are waiting for a live performance for kids. And who turns up.. but RENGE! (while her appearance was nice… why is somebody so rich working?) She introduces the Ouran Corps Host Ranger who resuces her from some devil, which reminds everybody. Where’s kyoya.

An annoucement over the intercom seeks info for a lost child. Wearing specs. 180cm tall. (this was hilarious). People around kyoya immediately recognises him and points to him. More vows to kill tamaki. Everybody meets, and just before leaving, haruhi tells kyoya that she knows that he helped the old woman not out of profit. And that she thinks he is acting like an egoist, but not really one.

I suppose Kyoya is acting how he is because of his surroundings. He HAS to be like that. But how nice he is deep now, it’s hard to tell. But hey, you can’t help but love him more after this ep.
