I'm a 15 year old livin girl living in the US. I do not typically like anime; in fact, I have a strong adversion to most of it. I am an artist, currently attenting arts school (the technical aspects of this show are something I will consider as well) I do not typically like most shows/movies/trends my age group does.

I caught this series on episode 21 and I was pretty much hooked, and I started it up from the beginning and watched it straight through until the end. The style isn't that hard to get used to (honestly, most anime lacks noses to begin with, and I though it was edgier to just take them out altogether in terms of character design) and the animation is really, really nice, with the 2D/3D animation blending really well. The plot could've been cliche and dull but the writing handled it well and gave all of the main characters and those focused on an amazing amount of depth. Character designs were wonderful, very original, very fresh. As far as writing goes they handled the races very well, using them as plot devices to explore our main characters and using them as conflicts between our racers. The series really accelerates after the first arc, and the ending is very unexpected and bittersweet! (no spoilers) Sav!The World Productions has me really excited for what they release next. This is a great example of French/Japanese collaboration, it was handled really well and highlighted their strengths in animation.
You really need to watch more than 2 episodes to get the true flavor of the show, give it a good chance. c: If you are a traditional die-hard anime fan, it doesn't really fit into that catagory, but I do think it's something special, especcially with its writing and emotional depth.

Well I'm glad to see that some other people, like myself, actually liked the show. Sure, the animation wasn't all that great but it had a nice touch of plot and character charm that kept me interested in it. And trust me, that's saying something because I had to stay up very late(very, very late) just to watch the show. Still, it was worth it. If anyone has any other anime shows that they'd like to talk about, just contact me on my email address, which is jonath.holland@hputx.edu. Hope to hear from ya soon!
