Kanon - Tragic Moments 8

Afterglow?? *frowns* haha

Before watching this episode, I went to look at the preview, which basically gave the title of episode 9 as Berceuse. It’s french for lullaby.

Having known that, I pretty much watched the show with much shivering and goosebumps. It’s like watching a person going through life happily, but knowing that he’s going to die in the next few days.

There was laughter, but an overwhelming cover of sadness.

I thought this scene was so funny, yet so tragic at the same time, if you knew the background of makoto and what’s to come… Every word seemed filled with foreshadowing and irony.

In other notes, yup… this episode felt a little short in budget. The still shots… and where did every other character disappear to. But kudos to KyoAni for making the episode feel so wonderful regardlessly.

you’ve decided 2 name all not cute moments as tragic moments. hmm.
anyway, don’t you luve how KyoAni tries to lighten the mood instead of plunging straight into the sadness. It’s trying to maintain the light hearted mood of the anime up to this point.
Or maybe you’re too sentimental man.

It remains lighthearted right up to about when Amano tells Yuuichi about the two sacrifices.

You’re right Danny… although I seriously couldn’t help having that sense of doom through all the lightheartedness.

Maybe as mentioned… i’m too sentimental. haha
