Kanon – Cafe talk

I’ve been delaying watching Kanon. Partly because I wanted to wait for another episode to come out, so that the wait will be shorter. Partly because I wanted to catch up on blogging about other episodes.

But after obsessing over the 4 old trailers… i couldn’t resist anymore…

And…

OH MY GOSH! SUCH AN OVERLOAD OF CUTENESS

I was kinda worried because I was really looking forward to this series. However, many have complained about the slow pace, and aimless shots of the house and all.

But maybe because I’m an AIR fan. Maybe because I never watched the original Kanon. But wow! Episode one just blew me over with the visual fest and utter cuteness.

Minor things to note though. It really does bear a semblance to both Suzumiya Haruhi and AIR. I think Kyoto Animation’s style is really coming forth already. The narration style… the panning of the scenery… (all realistically done probably) And who can watch Yuuichi without thinking of Kyon, they even sound and narrate the same and have the same character. Very good soundtrack going on too!

If you loved AIR, you definitely would love this remake.
If you loved SHnY, i don’t see why you wouldn’t love this either.
(I’ll confess it’s more like AIR though)
