The phantom are cool in their own insane whacked out way,but they are killing 'em all off.
Bah!
All the bad guys always hafta die!
And somehow I like the crazy bastards of Phantom better than insane-o Jin?
I hate him cause he's evil, but like the phantom?
I contradict myself too much.
But I have to admit,I freaked out when Drake pulled that pistol on Qing Lang.
Seriously freaked out.(Almost as much as Qing Lang himself.)
And was relived when he didn't get shot.
But how can someone recover from thinking that they were gonna be shot so fast?
One second he was in shock, another he was pulling out a tracker device wholeheartedly.
Ehhh,I'm thinking too much.
Also I would like to note that I'm madly in love with Sana's hair.
It's so pretty!
And she's so cute!
Thanks for the review!

Oh, and I forgot to add that there is a 98% chance that Jin will be dead by the end of the series.

Heh. thanks for the comment.

I've avoided trying to speculate, as there smees to be too many blanks in the story to me. (as you have pointed out)

His actions do seem pretty insane as a whole, yet the plans he come up with are pretty logical.

It'll be interesting to see where the anime brings it from here.

Don't think Jin is evil...rather, he's outright insane. My pet theory is that whatever the "horrible truth" about Sana, the children, and the Gladiators cracked him mentally. (For example, if the children used to make the Gladiators turned out to be their clones...I know *I* would go apesh** if it were me.) He probably internalised his reaction to piloting the Gladiators, which in turn didn't help his mental state of mind by any means. In the one glimpse we saw of Jin piloting his Gladiator, he seemed more grim than a simple battle expression: it looked more as if he was teetering on the edge of psychopathy.

I get the impression that his betrayal and return to Phantom were to put as much distance between himself and Jo and Sana (even incur their hatred so that they would never want to even see him again, much less talk to him) so that they would remain in blissful ignorance. I think in his own twisted way, Jin is still protecting them (in his own mind, anyway) by trying to shock/frighten them. Distancing himself from Jo and Sana and making them hate him failed to keep them from seeking answers from him, so he used his insanity and the shock tactic instead. Of course, it didn't work. (There wouldn't be much of a story if Jo and Sana simply gave up)

I could be overthinking/overanalysing, but too much in the story doesn't make a whole lot of sense otherwise. For example, why didn't Jin kill Jo when he had the chance? (If he'd wanted to test him as he did in 10, why didn't he simply detain Jo rather than stab him in a non-vital area and walk away?) What about his resentment of Logos? (Even the possibility of a coup attempt by Phantom -- headed by Drake -- makes little to no sense considering that Jin seemed to resent ALL of it in earlier episodes.)
