Honey and Clover II - Ep 2

Everytime I watch Honey and Clover. I would always feel like crying. But at the right moment, It fills me with laughter. And somehow, I think that’s how life is most of the time. Ah. such a touching series.

And season 2 hasn’t disappointed so far. Ep 1 was just about recollation, while revealing takemoto getting his driving liscense.

Episode 2 started with a hilarious scene on how to cure hiccups, while the second part involved a story revolving around Yamada, Mayama and Riku. (no summary from me, my words arn’t good enough to express it)

For awhile, I was afraid that the episode was going to be all laughs again. (like the 2 extra episodes in the DVD) Thankfully it wasn’t. haha. The animation was definitely very good for this episode. Though I must say I preferred a doll looking Hagu.

Heh. I always thought that the best way to cure hiccups was to frighten the person with hiccups. And if morita was trying to cure me of hiccups, i would have been VERY scared. hoho! It actually felt great to see Takemoto stand up to morita now though.

I haven’t seen a series this real before, in terms of story line. Someone always told me that love entanglements are not that simple, and life ain’t anywhere like anime. (I’ve got a tendency to whine about love entanglements. haha) But I think Honey and Clover reflects that very well, that things ain’t so simple. Although not everybody likes the fact that there does not seem to be any resolution.

I feel a lot for Yamada. haha. Empathise with her. *sigh*

We also get to find out just that bit more about morita. Mentions of his dad, and money. But we still don’t know why he acts the way he is. YET. I kinda admire morita for who he is, and i’ll be waiting for them to reveal his motivations.

Lovingly following this series.
