I’ve pretty much missed many Eureka Seven episodes so far. But manage to catch ep 39 just as the world cup is on. It pretty much makes a mockery of what soccer is in a sense, but it sure was a relaxing and fun filled episode.

I pretty much burst out laughing when both renton and eureka stepped on holland’s face together during the match. Considering that I was watching the episode in the middle of a fast food restaurant, it wasn’t the smartest thing to do. But it was THAT funny.

Yup. A matched focused on soccer.

Holland orders a soccer match after Norbu says to play. Nobody has played soccer before, except for doggie and renton, and nobody wants to play. But Norbu says, so soccer it is.

It would seem as though renton is very skillful, having wonderful juggling skills. But he has one fatal flaw. HE can dribble, but he has never passed before. And with doggie being a lot better, well… he is beated badly. Eureka scolding him makes him feel a lot worse.

Another team suddenly appears, as arranged by norbu. Who basically trashes the gekko all stars. 37 - 0 was the score. But holland is determined for a point, and initiates and all out attack.

I liked how the episode proceeded from here. Good action, good soundtrack at the right time. Watch how renton scores. haha.
