Blood+ – ep 38
I totally can’t comprehend the behavior of the Chevalier. Obviously they are more powerful, and if they acted in a logical sense, they would have killed Saya long ago. But then again, it doesn’t make the series any less enjoyable.
Climax of this episode is the battle between James and Saya.
It was nice to see the Sif cooperate with the Red Shield. Although they still have much to learn though.
Saya is still trying to distant herself from people, hoping that doing so, nobody else will get hurt. But Kai comes to tell her that the red shield has a ship going to the island where diva is, and they are leaving at 10pm.
Saya arrives in the end just before 10, to the joy of everybody. Saya makes a formal requests to ask if she could have a ride on the ship, but David tells her that though the Red Shield is no more, they will always be her shield.
Arriving on the island, the Sif goes off to fight the corpse corps on their own, while Saya and the Red Shield move closer to a building where they think Diva is. There they enounter James, where the fight begins. James is protected by a thick layer of armour, and neither bullets, nor Saya’s sword can cut through. James taunts their fighting tatics, and Kat realises that he is right. He rushes to Saya, asking if he can borrow Hagi for awhile.
The Sif are having a hard time, facing 5 of the corpse corps. Soon they realise that the the Sif’s strategy is to pick them off 1 by 1, but there’s little they can do about it, since they are out numbered. But from nowhere, Hagi appears and smashes the skull of one corpse corps with the cello case. Together with Kai and the Shifu, Hagi leads the fight against the corpse corps.
Saya is barely holding out against James. But the Sif arrive to stab James from behind. They have learnt how to trust, and from there, they learn to fight together. Hagi arrives to tear of the armour on James’ arm, allowing Saya to stab him, causing his arm to crystalise. But James grabs Saya and runs to a pit used to bury nuclear waste, hoping to die together. Even after his leg is crystalised, he jumps into the pit, together with Saya and Kai, who tried to save her.
Um. I don’t want to say how the episode ends. haha
We do see Solomon in his Chiropteran form. He actually doesn’t look evil. I think it’s that tuff of hair on his head. haha. I’m still wondering how well Saya can fight. She seems to be able to hold up against James to a certain degree, yet doesn’t seem to have the speed that the Sif and Chevalier have.
Anyway, EXCITING!
In this episode M. Solomon finally says he’s in love with Saya. Sorry but I really like this part.
